WHO ARE WE?

Bernd is the original member, songwriter, and producer of the band.  A multi-instrumentalist, Gretz is the driving force behind Rule of Nines and has received critical acclaim, both as a musician and songwriter, from the music industry. 

Instruments: Drums and Percussion, Acoustic Guitar, Keyboards, Lead and Backup vocals.

Favorite all time artist: Queen

Jared has been performing for over 30 years - 15 of those in and around the Vancouver area. A multi-instrumentalist, Jared has played with numerous bands over the years before joining Rule of Nines. As the newest member of the group, Jared brings his own distinctive style to the Nines. Assuming the role of the Nines new main lead vocalist, Jared brings a fresh new sound to the band.

Instruments: Lead and Backup vocals, Lead and Rhythm Guitar, Bass Guitar.

Favorite all-time artist: John Mayer

A long time and accomplished musician, Matt has had the privilege in working at Abby Road studios in England, alongside some of the world's most enduring and famous musicians. Not too many people have been actually able to hold Paul Macartney's Hofner bass (the one he played at Shea stadium!) Another talented multi-instrumentalist, Matt has helped to shape an exciting new musical direction for the band.

Instruments: Keyboards, Rhythm Guitar, Lead and Backup vocals

Favorite all-time artist: Elton John

Maurice was described by the Edmonton Sun as a guitar genius.  We think they underestimated him!  He plays with taste and style and is a fan favorite when he steps up for a solo or taking the lead vocals. Performing in many roles for the band, Maurice has been a member of Rule of Nines for over 25 years now. Influenced by British Rock and Roll, Mo brings an eclectic style of playing to the band.
